PHILLIPS School ~ Laurel

Teachers: Multiple openings in both lower school and high school programs (Social Studies)
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Applicants must hold a valid teacher’s license (Special Education endorsement preferable) or be license eligible
  • Experience working in a special education environment

Occupational Therapist: (Part time position, 1 day a week)
Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Must have MD Occupational Therapist  license, or be eligible
  • Have experience with autism, AIT, peds., Psychology, or life skills
  • Knowledge of sensory disorders/treatment preferred

Speech Language Therapist: (part time)
Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), or eligible for license
  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of one year experience in speech pathology required
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Requirements:

  • Overall coordination of the intake and referral process for clients
  • Acts as the primary contact for all referral sources
  • Trains new staff in the program procedures, roles and requirements

ABA Therapist/Behavior Specialist:
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, special education or a related field
  • Have at least one year of experience working with children with special needs
  • An understanding of behavior principles and experience using Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Creative and integrative lesson planning and implementation
